The world of Chris Manfield
Christine Manfield provides periodic updates on her many-faceted culinary activities around the world on the Christine Manfield Global Kitchen website at www.christinemanfield.com. One of the hottest reservations in London today is Manfield's new restaurant East@West. You will find the restaurant on West Street in the Soho district, just off Shaftesbury Avenue and down the street from The Ivy. The restaurant recently earned the coveted "Best New Restaurant" award for 2004 in Tatler magazine's closely watched annual survey of the UK's finest dining establishments.
East@West partner Margie Harris told the Sydney Morning Herald that the award was "a great recognition for Manfield, who has taken a very 'Sydney' approach to dining to London and won legions of fans. 'She's done away with the entree, mains and desserts idea and offers three menus: Wicked, Delicious and Divine. They love it,' Harris said."

Manfield's success as a chef and restaurateur is matched by her passion for sharing her culinary insights and recipes through her popular cooking classes. During 2004 she returns to Sydney, site of her culinary triumph at The Paramount, to stage two classes on March 23 and 27 in the demonstration kitchen of the Simon Johnson store at Pyrmont.
