Painter David Morico brings GLIMPSES
to the Good News Cafe & Gallery
September 13th, opening reception 3-5pm

Abstract Painter David Morico brings a colorful and exciting show to the area, entitled Nature as it should be , it s about getting away from today s crazy technology of computers and cell phones and enjoying our surroundings. His show opens September 9th and continues till November 9thth at the Good News Cafe & Gallery, 694 Main Street South, Woodbury.

An opening reception for Mr. Morico s exhibit will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13th, at Carole Peck s Good News Cafe. The reception is free and open to the general public, offering an excellent opportunity to view the exhibition at leisure, meet the painter, and learn more about his works. Complimentary wine and hors d oeuvres will be served in the bar area.

Most paintings have a build-up of layers either using different mixed mediums such as: resins, molding paste, sand, wood, paper and canvases. My paintings consist of brush and palette knifes. Sometimes I use just my hands spreading the paint throughout the canvas. I put my whole self into the painting as if I m living in the painting which at that moment I am.

My paintings have positive energy where I create non-representational images from nature, based on landscapes or the split second of what we see or think we see. The viewer sees images or senses a certain familiar feeling that they can relate to. Once that connection is made, I, the artist, have made my
accomplishment, and they call me the colorist .

Many of my paintings are in galleries in the United States and abroad. American Airlines is showcasing my works in their Admiral VIP Clubs in New York and Miami.

Paintings can be purchased as is or commissioned to any size to fit a residential or corporate environment.

For further information concerning this exhibit and opening reception on
September 13th, please call the Good News Cafe at 266-4622.
