Community Services Council of Woodbury, Inc.

We are the Community Services Council of Woodbury, Inc. located in Woodbury, Connecticut. Our mission is to provide short-term financial assistance and direction to Woodbury community members in time of personal crisis, and food and clothing to our residents who are in need.

The Community Services Council assists residents through a Food Bank, fuel assistance, financial assistance, holiday assistance, and more. We help people who are in financial crisis and despair. Most of our help is short-term, but there are seniors and those who are disabled that we will help through the Food Bank for longer periods of time.

Cornucopia at Oldfield

Cornucopia at Oldfield
Southbury is your perfect entry to the Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut. Once you are off the highway, you are transported to scenic New England towns with historic homes and natural beauty. We take pride in this antique home circa 1818 and its surrounding 2.5 acres of rolling lawn and extensive gardens. Guests of Cornucopia at Oldfield Bed and Breakfast have access to the spacious public rooms with their original fireplaces and views of the grounds. There is also a large flagstone patio with bistro tables overlooking the stream that crosses the yard.

Best of all it is just around the corner from Good News...

The Joanna John Collection

Beautiful antique, vintage and hand crafted Indian gifts, jewelry and jackets. One of a kind textile art. Located right here in Woodbury on 346 Main St. South.

Behnke Doherty Gallery

Works of extraordinary artistic achievement from Asia, America and sub-Saharan Africa showcased in an intimate and contemplative setting exemplifying how works from different cultures can comfortably coexist and inform one and other.

Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition

Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition
The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition was formed by residents of Bethlehem , Woodbury, and Southbury CT in 1999 to protect the quality and quantity of water in the Pomperaug Watershed--a 90 square mile area that provides both water and recreational opportunities for thousands of residents.

The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition was created because responsibility for the watershed is divided among towns and state agencies with no agency responsible for the entire watershed. The Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition is working to create a partnership between local governments, businesses, environmental organizations and private citizens and regional, state and federal agencies to insure the health and vibrancy of the Pomperaug Watershed.
